Helen is a composer and violinist often approached for her sensitive storytelling and her experience of both classical and contemporary music. In September 2026 Helen’s music was played at London Design Festival’s The Art of Sound, an immersive programme of spatial sound installations, powered by L-Acoustics. Her music has also been played on BBC6Music, SoundWaves and The Sleeping Forecast.

As a composer for screen Helen has written for a wide range of projects including Lucky House, a BBC film that deals with notions of Chinese diaspora and Being Billy, screening at Bolton Film Festival and Aesthetica in Autumn 2026. Helen won Best Score for her music on The Awakening at TMFF in 2025.

 

Helen has written additional music for Fackham Hall, (dir. Jim O’Hanlon), and The Peace Particle, a science documentary directed by Alex Kiehl  which screened at CPH:DOX in March 2026.

 

Helen is an active member of WFTV and AWFC and also mentors for Help Musicians: Co Pilot scheme.
