With a degree in Music from the University of Manchester, Helen has been working as a freelance composer since 2017. Helen is classically trained in violin, piano and also sings.
Helen composes using both digital and acoustic instruments, working regularly to picture, editing music to film.
As a media composer, Helen's most recent work includes a feature documentary for director Rory Herbert. Helen's experience with short films includes a short for the BBC that was shown as part of a week-long run of exhibitions at the ICA in London.
Helen has library tracks distributed across BMG music libraries, for ClearWave Music and also composes regularly for Mediatracks. Helen is also the curator for the library’s largest label, Heritage.
As an artist Helen released her first album “Aftermath” in Spring 2021, an ambient folk album. She also work as a freelance music educator, most recently for Severn Arts where she was commissioned to workshop and compose a song for 2000 primary school children to sing at Worcester Arena in June 2022.
